In 1936 the track was bought by New Clapton Stadium Co. Ltd, who renamed it Slough Greyhound Stadium.
For many years the Greyhound Stadium was also the home of Slough Town Football Club, until they moved to Wexham Park in 1974. Even then, their supporters club remained at the Greyhound Stadium until 1984. The Stadium has also been used for American football.
As well as the racetrack, the stadium housed two restaurants - The Rendezvous and Eton Gambol. They ran a service which allowed customers to place their bets without leaving their tables.
The last night of racing was held on Saturday 21st March, 1987. The site was sold and the stadium demolished, making way for a Co-op Superstore, which later become a Tesco.
