Full Description: View of the Ordnance Map for 1876 does not show any buildings along this part of the London Road. By 1899 the Plough Boarding House had been built opposite the junction with Sutton Lane and the Ordnance Map for 1924 shows development continuing along one side of the London Road. The Colnbrook Bypass appears on the 1932 Ordnance Map and joined the London Road just beyond the junction with Sutton Lane.
