Full Description: By 1954, the shop was occupied by Charles E Mette and London Drapery Stores, while in 1957 J Issacs are listed as being at 251 High Street. 170 and 170a High Street were occupied later by Currys and then Nationwide Anglia Building Society.
Three storey building with side extension on the left to provide additional showroom at first floor with large plate glass windows and which may be a later alteration to the original building . Building dates from the nineteenth century.
Suitcases and trunks are piled up on the pavement as well as furniture. |
