Full Description: The "Medal Men" were veterans of the Crimean War. The Queen's inspection of them took place at the close of the Aldershot Review of 1856. Troops present included representatives of the 93rd Regiment, the Rifle Brigade, the Guards and the Highlanders. Also present with the Queen were Prince Albert and other members of the royal party. Reverse of the picture shows the account of the occasion as written in The Illustrated London News for July 26, 1856, page 82.
