| Full Description: North Lane runs diagonally from north west to south east across the photograph from left to right. In the foreground are the Aldershot Borough Council flats of Pegasus Avenue and Denmark Square. Also in the foreground are the roofs of two public houses on North Lane, the Heroes of Lucknow and the Prince Albert on the right beyond the junction with Redan Road is the old isolation hospital, Northfield Hospital. Centre of the picture are Canning Road, Bellevue Road, and St Augustine's church on the corner of Holly Road. The roads slope upwards towards the top of Redan Hill on the right of the picture, The gas holder of Aldershot gasworks is on the left. On the horizon is Crooksbury Hill in Surrey |
