Full Description: The name is taken from Lt.-Gen. Sir Horace Smith-Dorrien who was General Officer Commanding at Aldershot when he laid the foundation stone of the Methodist Soldier's Home on 4th March 1908. There were recreation rooms, a coffee bar and other amenities.
