Full Description: This ceremonial parade, one of the first to be held in Aldershot after the end of World War One, was attended by Prince Albert, later King George VI, on the occasion of the Shah of Persia's visit, 3 November 1919. Most of the Infantry, in battle order, wearing web equipment and steel helmets, had fought in the First World War. Prince Albert is wearing the then new uniform of the Royal Air Force. |
