Full Description: The photograph is undated but is taken in the 1940s/1950s by the style of the costumes. The Louise Margaret Hospital for soldiers wives and children was named after the Duchess of Connaught who laid the foundation stone on 1st March 1897. Her husband Arthur, Duke of Connaught, son of Queen Victoria was commanding the Aldershot district at that time. |
