Full Description: Holly Hill House, later known as Sarisbury Court, was one of the district's finest houses. Standing in impressive grounds, it needed many servants to run smoothly. Over the years it was owned by many well known people including Quentin Hogg. It was then used as a summer home for the boys of the London Institute. Later it was purchased by Sir Edward Walter who was connected with the Times newspaper, William Garton, head of the HP Sauce Company and a leading figure of early motor cars. The house has now been demolished. The gardens were originally designed by Sir Joseph Paxton and are open to the public.
