Full Description: The New Inn has the wording Strong's Romsey's Ales on side wall and Luncheons and Teas Provided, Strong's Romsey's Ales and Wines, Spirits and Minerals on the front wall. It faced the green and occupied the site for at least 150 years. Later the inn was taken over by Whitbreads Brewery and became the Bat and Ball. Reference: 1. Emery, John. 1985.
