Full Description: The tower was added in the 17th century.
Before the arrival of the Army, in the 1850's, Aldershot was a little village in the midst of heathland, crossed only by a few tracks. In the religious census of 1851 the curate, Henry Carey, reported that the church held 270 people in total and that 244 attended morning service and 309 attended evening service on census day, Sunday 30th March.
