Full Description: This hospital was built of yellow brick in the 1870's. It has a neo-Classical front with a tall central clock tower. It was named after the Duke of Cambridge and opened for patients in 1879 when there were 260 beds, until then there had not been a military hospital of such size. Postcard. References: 1.
