Full Description: Portsmouth Aero Club was formed with help from Portsmouth Southsea and Isle of Wight Aviation Ltd in 1931 and in September and a preliminary meeting of the club was held on the 1st October at the Admirals Head public house Kingston Crescent. In September the club organised the IOW Handicap Race which was won by Sir Charles Rose flying a De Havilland Moth 60G.
