Full Description: Pike Spicer & Co was situated in Penny Street Old Portsmouth. It was foundered by William Pike who was born in Dorset in 1691. He set up the business after coming into some inheritance in 1719. In the middle of the 18th century he went into business with Mr Spicer. The brewery remained in the family until 1911 when it was incorporated into Brickwoods Ltd. Copy photograph
