Full Description: The two firemen were not on active service but died as the result of an accident during practice, A full account of the incident can be read in Sheldrake's Military Gazette in the issues of January 20th and January 27th 1911. A long line of flower filled horse drawn carriages are shown and there are many uniformed firemen in the procession. Aldershot Fire Brigade was established in 1887. The Fire Station in Grosvenor Road was built in 1904. |
